King's Landing

On November 15th scenes were shot at Trujillo Castle showing Jaime, Bronn and Lannister soldiers on castle walls. Early reports in August claimed that the main shooting location in Trujillo was the castle courtyard. As director Jeremy Podeswa was on set, this is probably a scene from episode 7.

King's Landing

Jon and his allies bring the captured wight to a big parlay with Cersei and her allies at the Dragonpit in King's Landing. The Hound chops the wight in half, but the wight still tries to attack. They demonstrate it can only be killed by fire or dragonglass (?). Cersei promises to send Lannister soldiers North to help against the White Walkers.

At least 18 named characters come together at the Dragonpit:
  • Cersei, Qyburn, the Mountain, Jaime, Bronn, Euron
  • Jon, Davos, Brienne, Pod, the Hound
Daenerys, Tyrion, Varys, Missandei, Qhono, Jorah, Theon
After the meeting, Euron leaves with his fleet, and Tyrion has a private talk with Cersei.

  • [Article by the Toronto Sun, 02.06.2017:] "Back outside the soundstage, one of the large white tents dotting the Belfast studio compound houses the show’s sprawling construction workshop, where we watched a small team of workers sculpting a massive dragon skull out of a Mack truck-sized piece of what looked like polystyrene foam. The skull is one of a whopping 40 dragon noggins of various sizes that were destined for a shooting location in Spain for… well, we’re not sure. Dragon graveyard? Flashback sequence? A weird Westerosi garage sale? According to one of the workers, doing the skulls as CGI wasn’t a practical option, as there will be action taking place around – and possibly on – the mammoth props."

  • "Jon's plans this season are entirely focused around protecting the North from the undead army and doing whatever he can to persuade Dany and Cersei to assist in that battle."

  • "They take the Undead to Kings Landing, after organising a parlay with the Lannisters, and fairly shake up Cersei (now pregnant again) and Jaime when they 'kill' the undead in the Dragonpit in front of her, but it still tries to kill her. She realises that all the stories of her youth are true, and it scares the shit out of her."

  • "Cersei agrees to an armistice while they all fight the Undead"

  • "Pod and Brienne arrive at the castle gates on horseback. Jon et al arrive by sea, and Dany shows up after everyone else arrives on Drogon either Rhaegal flying around. Only Cersei notices that she only has 2 dragons in tow, and in the scene after with Jamie she points out that Dany brought 2 dragons to impress Cersei with her power, but everyone has heard she has 3. She surmises from this that the third must be injured or dead, and that means the dragons aren't invincible after all."

  • [Jon and Daenerys]: "He vocally pledges to her in the Dragonpit. This catches everyone off guard, including Dany, who wasn't expecting him to do that. (Also no-one thinks it was wise, as this really winds up Cersei)."

  • [Daenerys has not told anybody about Jon "pledging" to her in episode 6] "and it's not explained why, but I'd guess she has strong feelings for him by that point and is unsure if she even wants him to 'kneel' to her. He's the one who comforts her over Viserion dying and she stays with him while he heals from the same incident."

  • "There is only one war that matters. The Great War, and it is here" is said by Jon] "in the Dragonpit, to Cersei (and I suppose to everyone else), right after he kills the bisected Wight by stabbing it with Dragonglass."

  • [Tyrion and Cersei]: "He only realises she's pregnant when they have a meeting alone after the main Dragonpit meeting."

  • [PM to KaySen762]: "In the Dragonpit though Brienne and The Hound meet again, and Arya is mentioned then. The Hound asks her if she shouldn't be taking care of Arya, and Brienne replies that 'The only person needing protecting is the one who gets in her (Arya's) way' and this makes The Hound smile, and say that he doesn't plan to be the one to do that."

  • [Jaime and Brienne] "only have one brief scene together at the Dragonpit this season, and that's it."

  • [Jaime and Brienne]: "It'll be a fun scene. She tries to persuade him that he has to bring the army north to support Jon, and he says he admires her loyalty to the Starks. To which Brienne says "FUCK LOYALTY!" - she's just flat out terrified by the Wight demo, and she sees the threat for what it is - a matter of pure survival, and it won't matter what house you stand for. It's going to be a good character moment for her."

  • [Cersei and Dany talk to each other during the dragonpit scene, and there is a lot of tension between them.]

  • [Varys] "has one scene with one of the little girls. He asks her about Qyburn, and she says he gives them sweets and looks after them. "he made xxxxx's father disappear" (I'm ever wary of leak-traps). Varys says that is good and: "Do you know what's better than having a good friend? Two good friends" ."

  • [PM to whitewalker2]: "The mountain cuts the wight in the dragon pit in half and it continues to go after Cersei. He cuts it up more and it still continues to move. Jon demonstrates with dragon glass and fire how to kill it."
-> [Later correction by whitewalker2]: "I made an error. Not mountain but hound."

  • [PM to whitewalker2]: "They free it, and for demonstrations purposes the Hound chops it in half. Cersei is horrified when she sees the creature still moving towards her even though it should be dead. They chop more pieces off it - Jon demonstrates that it can be killed with Fire or Dragonglass."

  • [PM to xOx_D-Targ6969_oXo]: "Every child in Westeros grows up with tales of the WWs, I didn't mean her specifically."

  • [PM to farmatwnzwwn]: [About Brienne at the Dragonpit]:"You know what. You're absolutely right. I forgot she was there. I've just checked and Sansa sends her on her behalf to represent the interests of Winterfell, which I think is because she isn't entirely convinced that Jon is thinking about The North. She agrees to go because she knows Jaime will be there, so she believes she will be safe - she believes him to be an honorable man."

  • [PM to whitewalker2]: "Qyburn is there too, yes, as is The Mountain."

  • [PM to xOx_D-Targ6969_oXo]: "The plan is that jon and the Unsullied will approach from the east up the coast, and while it isn't discussed the Lannister army would take the King's Road (as Cersei has no navy - Euron essentially says 'FUCK THIS" after seeing the Wight in the Dragonpit. Paraphrased dialogue:
    Euron "Can they swin?"
    Jon "no"
Euron "Good. I'm going back to Pyke then."

  • [PM to maureencreates]: "At the Dragonpit parlay later [Tyrion] goes alone to talk to Cersei. She despises him, but she will hear him out (largely because she wants him to think she's going along with the plan to attack the WW army)."

Dragonstone

Jon and Daenerys return to Dragonstone.

  • "Dany and Jon go back to Dragonstone to discuss tactics in the war against the undead."

  • [Daenerys and Jon] "have a couple of scenes alone together earlier in the episode, just not overtly romantic ones."

Dragonstone

Theon has a fight with an Ironborn at the beach of Dragonstone.

  • "Theon literally jumps overboard when Euron has a knife at Yara's neck. He's rescued by some of the Iron Born but they've finally lost all respect for him. He's a shell again for most of the season."

  • "No-one ever asked me about Theon at the end of the Season. But you've seen it in leaked photos anyway. The fight he has on the beach with the Iron Born is him trying to persuade them to join him to rescue Yara, but they aren't interested until he keeps getting back up after they knock him down, and eventually bests the dude (who makes the mistake of trying to put Theon down by kicking him in the balls, which is where he gains the upper hand)."

King's Landing

Cersei reveals to Jaime that she will not fulfill her promise to support the fight against the White Walkers. She wants to let the White Walkers grind down her enemies. Jaime is disgusted by this and leaves towards the North.

  • "Cersei agrees to an armistice while they all fight the Undead, but she's bullshitting Dany. Dany and Jon are expecting thousands of Lannisters to be marching north as they go with the Unsullied to Eastwatch, but they aren't coming. Cersei is hoping the Undead grind down her enemies. Either way, she wants only one army to fight, not to fight the Undead and then fight the combined forces of the Dothraki and the North and the Wildlings."

  • "Ultimately though she 'agrees' to send a force to the north, but once Dany, Jon and their gang leave she tells Jaime she's going to let the Undead army thin out her enemies for her. He's a bit put out by this, and leaves her, on his own, to ride a horse north himself."

  • [PM to KaySen762]: "In pretty much the next scene when Cersei and Jaime are alone he asks her about Euron, and she laughs and says Euron hasn't really turned tail - rather he's gone on her orders to use the Iron Fleet to ferry the Gold Company to Westeros - she's just got a brand new line of credit with the Iron Bank, and she's decided to buy an army of mercenaries with it."

  • [The Golden Company]: "In the last episode Cersei reveals to Jaime she's just bought their services. 20,000 soldiers."

  • [Jaime and Cersei]: "He walks out on her, while she is threatening to have The Mountain kill him. Jaime calls her bluff however, and the Mountain stands aside and lets him leave her chambers. Next we see him he's on his horse heading north. That's all we see of him."

  • "Jaime rides alone north."

  • [PM to flowercrownss]: "The scheming at its worst is when Jon and Dany prove to her there is a WW army and that they are all in danger. She is 'persuaded' to send Lannister forces to join the battle, but after they leave she tells Jaime she is sending no one. She will let the battle thin down her enemies. Jaime is disgusted by this - he can see that there is a real danger she will be queen of nothing."

  • [PM to xOx_D-Targ6969_oXo]: [Why does Cersei scheme against Jon and Dany?]: "She'll be damned if she's going to help the usurper and the bastard. It's as simple as that."

King's Landing

Cersei awakens in a bed soaked with blood (her last scene).

  • "The scene is her waking up, finding blood in her bed and screaming. That's it - although I'm sure it's going to be pretty dramatic when it's shown.
It's less than a page of script though, only about 10 lines - no dialogue, just direction."

  • "Miscarriage is implied. But it's not going to be addressed any further than that as this is her last scene this season."

  • "The script says she's soaked in blood."

  • "Nah, she's definitely not dead."

  • "Cersei dying? No indication of that."

  • "We don't get to hear why. Definitely not Tyrion though, he only realises she's pregnant when they have a meeting alone after the main Dragonpit meeting."

  • [PM to flowercrownss]: "Just before the end of the season, she wakes up in bed soaked in blood, so maybe [her pregnancy] doesn't last."

  • [PM to flowercrownss about Cersei]: "It's her last scene of the season. She wakes up with blood in the bed and starts screaming."

Winterfell

Sansa sentences Littlefinger to death, he is executed by Arya.

  • [Littlefinger is] "going to overplay his hand and get done for."

  • [Littlefinger will] "get his right at the end of S7."

  • [Littlefinger will] "pay for it alright. He won't see Season 8."

  • [Littlefinger is] "not going to survive past the end of the next season, once [Sansa] realises she's being played."

  • [Sansa will figure out Littlefinger's role in her father's dead] "by the end of the season, with help from Bran."

  • [Sansa is] "going to be the one that sentences LF to death. And the executioner? Little sis."

  • "Sansa turns out to be more than capable of handling Littlefinger. After he attempts to play the Stark sisters against each other (by using Sansa's letter to Robb from ages ago) she realises what a poison he is in their midst and sentences him to execution, which is delivered in style by Arya, using the dagger that was intended to kill Bran way back in S01E02."

  • [Conversation between Bran and Sansa]: "We won't actually see that scene - we just see Sansa going to talk to Bran about something.
I guess it's so there's a reveal for the audience at the same time as Littlefinger. Sansa will list off his crimes - Neds betrayal, attempt on Bran's life, blah blah - basically everything shady he's done, and then sentence him."

  • "The season for the girls ends with Sansa sentencing LF to death and Arya slicing his throat, then the two of them talking about missing Ned and their mother."

  • [PM to conordmcmahon]: "And near the end of the Season Sansa goes to [Bran] in private and he tells her everything that Littlefinger has done, so he has LF executed (which Arya does)."

Winterfell

Jon's true parentage gets revealed by Bran and Sam.

  • "This is going to be addressed in the finale of the next season."

  • "Bran and Sam together will piece together Jon's parentage/legitimacy."

  • "And who are the record keepers of Westoros? The Maesters. And who is now getting training at Old Town… in close proximity to the libraries and records?"

  • "And if we find out next season that Rhaegar's marriage was annulled? And that Jon is a true Targareyon? What then?"

  • [Jon is] "not a bastard. He's the legitimate son of them, as they married in secret. Oh, and his real name isn't Jon either…"

  • "Varys doesn't want the throne. He's genuinely acting out of a desire to have a king or queen rule that will look out for the interests of the people of Westeros rather than just their own. He still could put an Aegon on the throne in the show… I'm saying maybe there's someone on the show with that name already… what do you think Lyanna whispered to Ned?"

  • "Jon isn't a bastard. He isn't even called Jon. He's Aegon Targareyon, the rightful heir to the throne of Westeros."
  • "His real name is Aegon Targareyon. Simple."

  • "His true name is Aegon Targaryan."

  • "We get zero info as to why or how it is legally annulled."

Flashbacks: Tower of Joy / Marriage Rhaegar and Lyanna

  • "Rhaegar has his first marriage annulled, and we'll get a flashback to him and Lyanna getting married just before the end of the 7th Season."

  • "There's a repeat of the flashback to Tower of Joy, but this time we can hear what Lyanna says."

  • [We see the flashbacks in the same scene,] "one after the other. It's all coming via Bran's stream of conscious talking to Sam as the two of them put together the truth."

  • [The flashback] "happens in Brans room according to the script I have.""

  • "the revisited Tower of Joy scene where we hear what Lyanna says will be part of the same scene where Sam and Bran together piece together Jon's heritage."

  • [Rhaegar] "is definitely in this season. But the scene is so short it could literally have been shot in one afternoon. The way it reads in the script it looks like it's one or two shots. This explains why the casting hasn't leaked - the actor (possibly an unknown) would arrive at Belfast, go to make-up, get his wig on, shoot the scene and be back on the plane that night."

  • "They get married in front of High Septon Maynard."

  • "The location of the ceremony is just 'FOREST CLEARING' in the script."

  • [Rhaegar] "just recites his marriage vows along with Lyanna."

  • [PM to KaySen762]: "The only people speaking in the vision are Lyanna and Rhaegar reciting their vows and the High Septon conducting the ceremony. It's in a forest clearing, and the description says it should look similar to Robb and Talisa's wedding. Nothing happens in the short scene bar us seeing them reciting their vows and it being clear they are very much in love.
When he has this vision he's in his bedroom, and Samwell is with him."

  • [PM to conordmcmahon]: "Flashbacks we see: a repeat of the Tower of Joy scene, but Bran is present this time and we can hear what Lyanna says. Oh, and within that there is a flashback to Rhaegar and Lyanna's secret wedding."

On the Sea

Jon and Daenerys leave by fleet towards the North. On the boat Daenerys and Jon have sex for the first time.

  • [From Dragonstone Dany and Jon] "sail for the North, and on the journey make love for the first time."

  • "They'll meet around episode 2 of the 7th season and be boning by the very end of episode 7. Lots of 'getting to know you' time leading up to it."

  • "They'll be together for most of the next season. The end of the the season will be them climbing into bed together."

  • "Love… maybe. They definitely bone at the end of the season. And the season is littered with them giving each other admiring looks (him at her riding Drogon, her watching him fight etc). Clichéd though? I mean, she is his Auntie Danaerys. That's a bit weird. Although he doesn't know that."

  • "And then bone at the end."

  • [Jon and Dany will] "be boning by the very end of episode 7"

  • "There will be a lot of flirting throughout season 7, which will culminate in a bonking session just as the Wall comes down."

  • "Ok, I fucked up. The plan is to sail to White Harbor, then meet the Dothraki on the Kingsroad then head for Winterfell. My mistake. Read it again there, and the directions are pretty explicit. It's the Unsullied who sail direct for Eastwatch, bearing in mind at this point in the narrative the Wall hasn't been breached."

  • "It's Jon. He goes to her cabin while they're sailing north after the Dragonpit meeting.
Note: there's NO dialogue in this sequence as it's cross cut with Bran and Sam discussing Jon's past."

  • "And yeah Bran and Sam's dialogue will kind of be played off reaction shots of Jon and Dany kissing and then boning. Especially when Bran says his true name. That's going to be… well, weird I guess."

  • "the whole Dany/Jon story over the season builds to this scene. It'll feel pretty natural and inevitable when it happens."

The Wall

Last scene: The Night's King attacks the Wall riding an undead Vyserion who breathes blue fire, a big chunk of the wall falls down.

  • "There will be a lot of flirting throughout season 7, which will culminate in a bonking session just as the Wall comes down."

  • "It's just going to be part of it. But a big chunk."

  • "One of the dragons will die. And then it will get a rider…"

  • "2 words dude: ice dragon."

  • "This one is real, except he is one of hers turned after the Night King kills him."

  • "a much more pressing enemy is going to come into play before they can have the battle for the throne."

  • [PM to KaySen762]: "Tormund will reappear in the very last scene of Ep 7 - he’s manning the Wall when the army of the dead attack and Viserion burns it. We don’t see him die or anything, just running for safety once the dragon attacks"

  • [PM to xOx_D-Targ6969_oXo]: "At the end of the following episode is when we see NK riding Viserion and the army at the Wall."

  • [PM to whitewalker2]: "At the end of the season, we'll see NK riding Viserion, and shooting blue flame at the Wall, which crumbles at that point."

  • [PM to conordmcmahon]: "Last scene is a 3 way montage between
: Sam and Bran figuring out together Jon's parentage and legitimacy
: Jon and Dany in bed together and
: The Night King taking down a chunk of the wall with ice dragon fire
    "
